40th CIB Congress:

Overview

The 40th Conférence Internationale des Barreaux (CIB –  International Bar Permanent Conference) Congress will take place in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, from 2 to 5 December 2026.

The theme of the conference is: « From the traditional law firm to a legal war machine: One oath, new challenges. »

The annual CIB congress provides a meeting place for lawyers from bar associations with a shared foundation in civil law. The event provides an opportunity to expand your professional network and to receive training to help you meet the challenges of our profession.

You will benefit from a rich social program and will have the opportunity to contribute to plenary sessions on Defense, young lawyers, fundamental rights, and the voting of Congress resolutions.

CIB members are entitled to a discount on registration fees:

Bar associations : a preferential rate for 10 lawyers from the bar.
Individual lawyers : the preferential rate applies to each individual.

This event counts towards lawyers’ continuing professional development.
